Back in Business!

Nau mai hoki mai ki te whare uku!
We are back in business. Āe, the whare uku (pottery) is up and running again and Sam is creating all kinds of goodness out there!
For those of you who didn't know, in 2018 Sam shut the doors on the pottery for a role at Greater Wellington Regional Council. It was great learning and 18 months of regular salary (wahoo!) but in late 2020 the contract came to an end and we made the decision to re-open the pottery.
It's great being a self-employed whānau again 😊
Winter 2021 finds us working together as a team to continue Sam's mahi in the pottery, as well as following up on ideas we've dreamed of implementing for a long time.
Our kaupapa for 2021 is to grow our impact and spread the word far and wide about the plight of our native tuna/eel and other freshwater species.
Every little action counts. Our mahi may be small in the scheme of things but in our minds it's adding up to BIG change happening all around Aotearoa right now at many levels, and we're proud to be a part of it.
Change can be hard but the rewards for our earth and our mokopuna are going to be worth it, so we all need to keep pushing.
Subcribe to our email community if you’d like to keep updated on news from the pottery, as well as opportunities to ward off the covid-19 lockdown blues with some creative clay work yourself.
Noho ora mai,
Sam, Janine, Bella and Molly
