THIS EEL IS A SECOND - PLEASE CHECK THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASE. The clay from which this little tuna was sculpted wasn’t completely dried out before ‘cooking’ in the kiln. This meant that the remaining moisture created a series of cracks.

She’s still a beauty, but you’re best to keep her in a frost-free area - if moisture gets in the cracks then freezes, the cracks will expand. Rain is ok but freezing/frost is not!

She has Sam’s usual bronze/gold glaze.

Tuna can be displayed on a flat surface without rods, or mounted outside with rods using the holes on the underside (rods can be ordered in our online shop here)

Postage and Packaging/Shipping

Pick up from the pottery is free - if you live locally or are passing through you are welcome to pop in to pick up your tuna. Please text or phone first so we can make sure we are there to greet you.

If you require shipping your tuna/eel will be packaged with love into one of our handmade recycled plywood boxes, surrounded by soft packaging to keep it safe. Rest-assured that your new sculpture will arrive safely, but in the unlikely event of damage insurance will cover purchases up to $2000.

As part of our commitment to re-using and re-cycling we invite you to return your sculpture box and packaging to us at the pottery. In return, we’ll flick you a $20 refund. Instructions for return packaging will arrive with your tuna.
